The Workshops

As part of its commitment to children and the ongoing search for new alternatives for their development, Baby Deli has created a special space for workshops designed for children aged between 0 and 8, available from Monday to Saturday and featuring a range of activities including Early stimulation, Teamwork, Yoga, Music and Art. The aim is to offer new skills and learning experiences in a way that is both innovative and fun.

WHICH ASPECTS DO WE COVER? HOW IMPORTANT ARE THEY?

 STIMULATION

Following baby’s birth we have the opportunity to immerse them in an environment filled with stimulating experiences that will boost development and learning. We focus on the following types of stimulation:

      1)      SENSORIAL: Developing the senses.

It was commonly believed that babies were practically unable to transmit sensations of cold, pain or hunger. However, it has now been proved that this perception already exists at birth, and that what is needed are the stimuli that will enable baby to perfect perceptive skills such as touch, sight, smell and hearing, etc. The senses are our first means of communication, enabling us to learn concepts more easily and also helping language acquisition.

2)      EARLY: Each day opens up a whole new world for babies to discover. Creating situations that rouse their interest in developing new forms of conduct will encourage them to form part of this world.

These situations are centred on:

-          Connecting with their feelings:

The first circuits created by baby’s brain include those that govern the emotions. From the age of two months onwards, certain emotions start to turn into more complex feelings. Parents' love and care provides baby's brain with the type of emotional stimulus it needs. A lack of affection transmits types of behaviour that lead to emotional deprivation and a lower presence of signs of wellbeing such as happiness.

-          Connecting with their language:

The term “opportunity windows” refers to periods of particular sensitivity in which there is a greater predisposition for language acquisition. The capacity to learn a second language is greatest from birth up until the age of 6.

-          Connecting with movement:

Babies can move all parts of their body, even though they lack precision and a specific objective. They undertake the challenge of perfecting each of their movements from birth until the age of four. Having the freedom to explore, act and play will help them to develop their coordination which in turn will enable them to carry out actions such as reaching for an object, drawing or playing the piano. Providing baby with games that boost their curiosity is essential in order to enjoy the benefits of all types of behaviour.

HOW TO ACHIEVE THESE OBJECTIVES

Ensuring an individual’s overall development requires interaction between (internal) personal resources and (external) experiences or situations. This interaction has to be attractive and interesting in order to make contact both varied and continuous. Play is the best way for children to learn. It has been proved that lots of good and effective play is vital for children during the early stages of their lives. Play enables them to learn, discover new possibilities and practise their skills.

Mums are a fundamental part of this project, which is why we offer courses and activities designed especially for them and their children.
